So how do Halogen and Xenon compare?

The table below summarises the basic comparison of a fixed 55 W Halogen bulb, with a Xenon bulb of 35W (note the 40% power saving whilst there is a much higher light output).

The light produced by the Xenon system will give you a more "even" spread and better penetration, as well as much improved contrast and reduced eyestrain. Reflectors from road traffic signs, cat-eyes and vehicles in front of you, are picked up at much longer distances, giving you those vital "extra" seconds to react.
